We offer programs of research and study leading to either a BA in Geology or a BS in Geology and Geophysics.
BS in Geology and Geophysics: This program is
intended for students who are prepared for and desire a rigorous education
in geology and geophysics. It should prepare them to continue their education
in the earth sciences at the graduate level or for professional employment.
BA in Geology: This program is more flexible and has a larger number of electives. It is appropriate for students who do not necessarily intend to pursue graduate work or employment in traditional geology fields but who are considering employment, for example, in land-use planning or as a science teacher in secondary education, or possibly as a preparation for work in environmental law. |
