**You must bring a PEN and a PICTURE ID to each EXAM and to the FINAL.

GG 101 Lecture Policies:

 

1. Unless you have a note from your Doctor or Coach, you will not be allowed to make up a missed EXAM (this includes Exam #1, Exam #2 and the FINAL).  If you are allowed to make up an exam, this must occur within one week of the missed exam.  If you know in advance that you will miss an exam, and have a note from your Doctor or Coach, we will set up a time when you can take the Exam prior to the date you will miss.

 

2. There is an EXTRA CREDIT! Field Trip.  However, if you wish to attend a different field trip in another GG course, you may substitute it, as long as you fill out the 2-page OTHER FIELD TRIP REPORT sheets that you can download above.  IT IS UP TO YOU TO LOCATE A SUITABLE SUBSTITUTE FIELD TRIP, AND GET PERMISSION TO PARTICIPATE FROM THAT INSTRUCTOR!  ALL FIELD TRIP REPORT SHEETS ARE DUE BY THE START OF CLASS ON MAY 7th.  NO LATE SHEETS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Step 2:  Take notes as you read.

Step 3:  Bring your notes and your book to lecture.

Step 4:  Add information to your notes as you listen to the lecture.

Step 5:  Read over your notes before returning to Step 1.

Step 1:  Take the Practice Exam provided.

Step 2:  Grade your own Practice Exam with the key provided.

Step 3:  Read the correct answer to any you got wrong from the key.

Honesty: No cheating, plagiarism or other dishonest completion of the requirements or extra credit assignments of this course.  Any suspicions of dishonesty will be turned over to the Dean of Students, in keeping with UH policy.

 

DONšT COME TO CLASS IF you are going to sleep, eat, read the newspaper, text your friends or play your computer game.  IF YOU DO, IšLL ASK YOU TO LEAVE.  If you need to do these things, go home and do them there.
