Brian N. Popp
Brian congratulating Richard on his wedding day.
Richard has recently defended his Master’s thesis in Oceanography (Carbon Isotopic Fractionation of Naturally Occurring Alkenone-Producing algae as a Function of Specific Growth Rate) and is also currently a third-year student in the UH Richardson School of Law. I anticipate that Richard will finish Law School and obtain his Oceanography MS degree in May 2008!
Amanda is currently finishing her Master’s thesis in Oceanography. Amanda has been examining controls on the export production depth of Emiliania huxleyi and controls on alkenone unsaturation (UK’37 Index) in the Gulf of California. Amanda hopes to defend her thesis and graduate December 2007.
Lisa has just joined my research group and is working on a Master’s degree in Oceanography. She will study the ecological and physiological controls on alkenone unsaturation (UK’37 Index) in the Southern Ocean east of New Zealand.
