Proof Module Rabbit Microcontroller

Rabbit 3000 Controller with 16-channel ADC

The 3000 controller performs four functions. First, it sends and receives RS232 data on two channels.  Second, it monitors the DC power supply voltages and shunt current.  Third, it monitors the temperature and pressure inside the pressure case.  And fourth, it reads the DigiQuartz counts.  All if these data are sent as ASCII engineering data on one RS232 comm port.  The second RS232 comm port receives commands and sends responses to the shore user.   Currently, there are only six commands:1) Set date, 2) read engineering data ADC data, 3) read DQ data, 4) set DQ period width,  5) set the hydrophone high/low gain bit and input impedance bandwidth, and 6) a status command that simply returns the date and time (validating communications only with the controller).
