Remote User Port Interface Microcontroller

Remote User Port Microcontroller

Up to two remote experiment systems and/or sub-observatories can be connected to the observatory using high-voltage ports.  Each user port microcontroller controls one remote port directly and if necessary for redundancy the other port indirectly (by taking control).  The microcontroller controls the power/circuit breaker (13) to each remote port.   Additionally, the microcontroller monitors the power supply voltages, temperatures, pressure in the observatory pressure case, main A and B bus currents, and the circuit breaker currents.
